Every float in the Parade of the Nations tells a story. Community organizations across the DMV spend months designing and building tributes to their home countries — honoring national heroes, landmarks, and traditions. Here’s a first look at the 2026 delegations.
🇸🇻 El Salvador — "Tierra de Campeones"
Presented by Movimiento Cultural Salvadoreño del DMV. This float honors El Salvador’s most celebrated athletes — from soccer legend Jorge “Mágico” González to surfer Katherine Díaz — under the theme “New Generation, Same Roots.” Featuring the national volcano landscape, the Torogoz (national bird), and a full-scale wave tribute to “Surf City El Salvador.” Tagline: Small in size, giant in heart.
🇨🇴 Colombia — "Orgullo Colombiano"
Presented by Colombia Vive en Mí Washington DMV. A tribute to Colombian talent across sport, music, and leadership — featuring James Rodríguez, El Pibe Valderrama, cyclist Nairo Quintana, boxer Miguel “Happy” Lora, and Paralympic champion Mariana Pajón, among others. Theme: The passion that unites us, the history that inspires us.
🇵🇦 Panama — "Panameños en el Deporte"
Presented with the Ministry of Culture of Panama. A visual tribute to Panama’s sporting legends — Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Durán (boxing), Irving Saladino (athletics), and Mariano Rivera (baseball) — with the national Harpy Eagle holding a soccer ball to symbolize unity, strength, and identity.
