Councilwoman Brianne Nadeau has send us a quick note about the ongoing cold weather:

” Forecasts are calling for the potential of snowfall tonight in D.C. followed by very cold temperatures. The snow forecasts are low, but I wanted to highlight some resources and more information.

If there are any changes to District services due to snow, they will be posted to snow.dc.gov.

Due to the cold, the District has activated its Cold Emergency Plan.

To request support for DC residents who are homeless and on the street now, contact the Shelter Hotline at (202) 399-7093 or 311. Free transportation to an emergency shelter or warming site is provided to anyone experiencing homelessness in the District during a Cold Emergency Alert.
